Meghan Medford

Meghan holds a degree from Rhodes College in International Business and a Master of Business Administration from Christian Brothers University. Since founding Medford Roofing 2010, the company has earned over $20,000,000 in revenue and has offices in both Memphis and Nashville. Medford Roofing was awarded as one of the top five finalists for the Memphis Business Journal Small Business of the Year award 2014 and 2015, as well as, earned the MBJ "Pacesetter Award"(fastest growing private company) in 2015, 2016, and 2018. Meghan has also been awarded the Greater Memphis Chamber "Young Memphis" award 2014, MBJ "Superwoman in Business" 2018, and MBJ "Top Forty Under Forty" 2018.

Mamie Pike

Mamie is an event specialist with over 35 years of proven success developing and implementing policy, procedure, and programming to strengthen environments, build social capital for organizations and partners, and help communities achieve sustainability through festival and event production. Projects include twenty years on Downtown Memphis and South Main revitalization efforts, ten years on Memphis in May, South Main Arts Fest, and City of Memphis Holiday Parade productions and MTV Sports and Music Fest, H.O.R.D.E. Fest and Blues Ball productions to name a few. 

 Her belief is “Events are an invaluable way to draw people together to celebrate, to raise awareness for a cause and to showcase community assets. Extensive contacts, resources, and experience are vital to lead teams that develop and produce successful events. My desire is to invest energy and resources into building an excellent legacy for Memphis communities and organizations. I am proud of The Stratford Event Venue and honored to be a part of the Summer Avenue revitalization effort.  After all, if you can’t find it on Summer, chances are, you don’t really need it.”

Heidi Shafer

Heidi Shafer is the Senior Business Consultant for Aetna’s Public & Labor Center of Excellence. Heidi served as a Shelby County Commission Chair in Tennessee’s largest county while simultaneously working fulltime as Chief Marketing Officer for a medical practice, and Chief Operating Officer for a start-up aesthetic practice. Previously, Heidi was a teacher, a Sales Leader for a telecommunications and advertising company, an event and travel planner, and a fulltime mother and wife. Heidi is putting her wide experience in education, healthcare, government service and business to facilitate Aetna’s being an outstanding inclusive corporate partner to all communities.

Jimmy Ogle

Jimmy Ogle has recently retired after 50 years on the Memphis scene in the fields of history, tourism, parks and recreation. His last fifteen years have been dedicated to the preservation and promotion of Memphis history by offering free walking tours and lectures in all parts of the city.

Jimmy grew up in East Memphis in the 1950s-60s, and has fond memories of riding his bicycle to Farrell Drug Store in High Point, over to Pop Tunes on Summer, and then to the shops of Summer Center Shopping Center, particularly Stamm’s Men Shop, Parks Belk, TG &Y and the Mark Twain Cafeteria. Jimmy really likes the 100 year history, with the likes of the first Holiday Inn to open the world of Summer Avenue (being a six-mile stretch) of the Broadway of America (US 70 from San Diego to New York City.

Dr. William White

Dr. William White received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry. He practices full-scope optometric care, from comprehensive exams to pre & post-operative care for Cataract Surgery.
